|Save Miramar! |
Powerful ocean waves have torn away several feet from Mirada Road in Half Moon Bay. This has left a sewer main on the verge of collapse and a beach just weeks away from environmental disaster. Homes and businesses are on the verge of being condemned while the city, state, county and coastal organizations remain without a solution; barred by politics and a lack of interagency cooperation.
What's left of the road, now barely wide enough to drive on, teeters on the verge of collapse, hanging on for emergency resources that have not arrived. Just a few feet remain before raw sewage will pour into the Miramar beach surf; devastating the fragile marine ecosystem.
