"Texas Congressman Wants To Put Gay People On An Island To See If They Die Out"

More Absolute Nonsense From The GOP

"Texas Congressman Wants To Put Gay People On An Island To See If They Die Out", Web Link

"Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) took his opposition to same-sex marriage to an entirely new level during a speech at Virginia's Liberty University last week."

"Gohmert, who previously compared the treatment of marriage equality opponents to how Nazis persecuted Jews during World War II, argued that even Americans who don't believe in God should be able to see that same-sex relationships aren't natural, Right Wing Watch reports. He went on to suggest conducting a "totally secular" congressional study that would prove it, too."

"How about if we take four heterosexual couples, and put them on an island where they have everything they need to live and exist, and we take four couples of just men and put them on an island where they have all they need to survive," he said. "And then let's take four couples of just women and put them on an island, and then let's come back in 100 years and see which one nature favors."

We know what keeps this gentleman up at night, but one has to wonder Why? What business is it of his? Why is he so frightened by gays? Could it be that he believes Carson, that he could "catch" gayness and his homophobe side is just blistering?

And these folks actually get elected?

His about we put cretins like Gohmert on an island and nuke it from space? Isn't that a fun thought exercise?

Rainbow jihadis need to twist facts and headlines to keep agitating, and people are getting sick and tired of their sore-loser tactics.

Louis Gohmert doesn't want to "put gays on on island so they die out." He was making a valid observation -- homosexuals rely on herterosexuals for procreation. The gays even have a derogatory word for them: breeders.

"Rainbow jihadis {such a colorful image} need to twist facts and headlines to keep agitating,...". Perhaps those that feel that way can demonstrate where, exactly? Just because you don't like the story doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Read 'em and weep because it is what it is - another shameful example of ignorance, arrogance and homophobia ... nicely wrapped in one pathetic package. That, in itself, is a problem.

The bigger issue, however, seems to be that many in the GOP are equally afraid, equally homophobic and equally ignorant and are willing to place that ignorance and attitude on full display.

The questions asked at the conclusion of the initial post above are legitimate, serious questions that should be considered by any reasonable individual.

Gohmert's bigotry and loud-mouthed nonsense are well-known.

For example, Gohmert stated about the Supremes' support of GAY MARRIAGE...

It is a tragic and ominous day for the United States when a decision by five unelected justices of the U.S. Supreme Court blatantly violates the law in order to destroy the foundational building block for society provided by Nature and Nature’s God – that was stated as divine law by Moses and Jesus.

You see, again we have a privileged white male desperate to insert religion into a secular society the same way they complain LGBT's are inserting their "initiatives". He seems to have an issue with the entire concept of the Supreme Court.

Grow the hell up.
