Cartel Management has revealed, via an email to the California Coastal Commission, that there there will be no Surf Festival during the 2015 - 2016 episode of the Mavericks Surf Contest. Instead, Cartel Management has declared that the Mavericks Surf Contest will be a Pay for View event. The plan is to sell the RedBull.TV live stream to pubs, bars, and restaurants.

Haha, maybe there will be a Locals Only 'block' party clogging Capistrano Rd that morning. A Critical Mass type ride through the tunnel (share the road!). Drones beaming free surf videos. Imagine the fun locals could have even if we're "not invited."

Park at the north end of the reefs in Moss Beach (or ride your bicycle), hike to the cliff above Ross's Cove and get your binoculars on. No one needs a permit to come in through the back door and watch Mavericks.
