Rape: Bill Cosby's Entire Life's Contributions Gone

"Cosby's 35 rape accusers speak", Web Link

The accusations started against a firestorm of denials, but they just keep coming. Thirty-five (35!) women have accused the comedian/actor of rape. No charges that I'm aware of have been filed, likely for various reasons (statute of limitations, embarrassment, etc), yet; but there are now 5 civil cases (litigation) against the I Spy veteran.

Katie Couric interviews one of the (brave) women that has accused Cosby of rape.

This is a subject that we have seen a lot of in the news lately and it continues to get traction - yet nobody's brought it up here, until now. To have a person that wealth, position and so beloved for his contributions throughout his life accused of multiple rapes spanning years is shocking.

The impact of Cosby's alleged actions is huge in numerous ways. This is a very real subject and one worth discussion, uncomfortable as it is.

Were it one woman, like the initial complaint, we could easily blow it off believing the initial response of "gold digging"; but 35!? How does one blow that off?

And as the list of victims grows, so does the list of those disowning Cosby, from advertisers to colleges and more. Will Cosby ever publicly address this now huge list of alleged victims? If so, what will he say?

A special website to shame Bill: Web Link

He's a devious predator and should be confined in a CA state penitentiary for the remainder of his life.

francis just can't seem to get on the right side of any issue, no matter how egregious. 35 claims of rape (that we know of, so far) over a period of decades against a gentleman of wealth and fame, and the best he can come up with is political BS?

Now that is an example of a drama queen troll. As pathetic as the alleged predatory actions of Cosby.

Sad, indeed.

Sorry to break it to you George but although the methods are different Bill Clinton is a predator like Bill Cosby. Please don't try to protect him. It shows a disgusting lack of empathy for the victims.

although the methods are different Bill Clinton is a predator like Bill Cosby

Prove it. There is only one woman on record claiming that she was raped by Bill Clinton. After the hundreds of women Bill bedded, only one (Juanita Broaddick) claimed rape and she had a potential ulterior motive for doing so. No charges were ever brought up.

A friend who worked on Clinton's campaign had to keep women off of Bill - he didn't have to prey on them. They were on him like a 2nd skin.

So, comparing Cosby and Clinton is more than specious and another tiresome and boorish way of you and the Bridge Troll dragging partisan politics into an otherwise politically-free topic.

Flushing out hypocrites like George and "Coasters" is so easy. To them, some sexaul harassment and some sexual predators are OK.

Camile Paglia on the parallels between Bill and Bill:

Web Link

Unlike "Coasters" and George, she isn't willing to sweep things under the rug to maintain pretenses.

Oh Franny.

My comment was that in one case women were lining-up to be bedded by Clinton and, in the other, Cosby drugged and raped women.

It's frightening that you think they're the same thing.

Stop twisting the argument.

The women who stepped forward with public complaints about being sexually assaulted and/or harassed by Bill Clinton had not been "lining up" to have relations with him.

Some women did. But those who didn't want his advances were sometimes harassed, including workplace harassment, or even raped.

So yeah, Clinton is a lot like Cosby.

^^^ Stop twisting the argument. ^^^

Twisted thinking leads to twisted arguments. And bad government.

Bill Cosby deserves the contempt he now gets. But those "piling on" while excusing Bill Clinton's behavior are throwing stones in glass houses.

Frank brings up Camile Pagli,Ph.D. Yale University. I haven't thought about her for years. I hope people read the Salon article Frank linked four comments above mine. The Democrats did give Bill Clinton a pass. I am not saying that Clinton is anything like Cosby; but, the feminist movement in the 80's and early 90's let Bill Clinton get away with very bad behavior.

Stop twisting the argument.

Stop claiming an argument's been "twisted" when your flawed logic is called-out in your lame attempt to make this a political issue by equating Bill Clinton's bad boy horndog routine with a guy who drugged and raped women. If you think those are equivalent, I'd like to supply your house with urine instead of water to see if you can tell the difference. You may think they're the same.

The reason feminists gave Clinton leeway is because he's powerful, charming and good-looking and A LOT of women line-up for that kind of action. I didn't say they were SMART women and I never said Clinton's behavior was good. Just that Mr Bubba does not equal Mr. Rufi.

"Bill Cosby deserves the contempt he now gets." Well now, that's a switch. This coming from the guy that always defends the indefensible, so long as it serves his wishes. An example might be his support for Perry during and after Perry's indictments; francis was firm that (among other things) we wait for process before judgment. Nice to see francis sidestepped process here, but not elsewhere. 35 claims of rape is rather hard to sluff-off.

"But those "piling on" while excusing Bill Clinton's behavior are throwing stones in glass houses." In my view, another straw man argument. One has nothing to do with the other. I do not recall Clinton ever being accused of drug rape. I do not recall Clinton ever being accused of 35 rapes (at least one of which was a gay female). I do not recall any Clinton rape accusations spanning 50 years. So I'm not at all sure what francis means or intimates with his "piling on" comment nor do I see any correlation between the comedian/actor/entertainer and our former President.

Hey francis - News Flash !!! - Not everything is political and not everyone is a tea bagger (thank God).

Somebody call 911; it appears francis has just swallowed his tongue.

Sigh. Coasters: the subject came up about Bill Clinton's predatory habits and I chimed in just like you.

Oh yes indeed Bill Clinton is a sexual predator. Plenty of women didn't want that slobbering SOB harassing them or forcibly raping them.

What else would you call him but predatory when he knew he had the power: the creep was Attorney General of Arkansas, Governor, and then US President. How many women could take down someone like that? He knew that if they tried to take action against him they would lose their job or lose their reputation by being publicly made out to be trash: "Drag a dollar through a trailer park." Most had little recourse but to shut up even after being raped.

And yet you just call him a "horndog." You prefer victims to be re-victimized rather than call out a harasser/rapist who supports abortion.

How contemptible.

First of all, this thread is about Bill Cosby and the 35 (and possibly more to come) women that have accused him of rape, drug rape, over a 50 year period.

I thought that would be clear by the thread title and further by my comments above mentioning Clinton (in response).

Comparing Cosby to Clinton is like comparing apples to elephants - no comparison. In fact, I'll take it a step further, starting with this: "Plenty of women didn't want that slobbering SOB harassing them or forcibly raping them." Would you be so kind as to provide supporting documentation for this claim? Thank you, in advance.

It would be swell if we had a topic for discussion and actually stayed on topic. It would be equally swell if some folks realized that not Everything is political ... because this thread is not.

For those that have any questions regarding topic, and why Clinton is not part of this one, please see my post above directly above uff's latest post.

Thank you.

So you just participated in the Clinton discussion 2 hours ago but when I do it's suddenly "off topic?" Oh come on, lol.

Another example of uff seeing what she wants versus what is. It is tiring, frankly.

Maybe if she had actually read all the words in that post, she'd have a better understanding of its content.

Maybe this will help: "I do not recall any Clinton rape accusations spanning 50 years. So I'm not at all sure what francis means or intimates with his "piling on" comment nor do I see any correlation between the comedian/actor/entertainer and our former President."

I would add; once again we see uff careen off topic. I have to wonder if the request I afforded her is the reason; "Would you be so kind as to provide supporting documentation for this claim? Thank you, in advance." That request was addressing her claim of "Plenty of women didn't want that slobbering SOB harassing them or forcibly raping them."

She doesn't provide any supporting documentation, but she doesn't let that get in the way of further unsubstantiated claims and more misdirection.

Suggestion: if you don't care for Clinton (either one), perhaps you can start your own thread and fill it with all the unsubstantiated claims you like. Apparently venting, ranting, and criticizing with no basis in fact or respect for topic is fun for you. This topic, once again, is about the comedian/actor/entertainer Cosby and how over a 50 year period he raped women using drugs. Maybe, if that's too hard to grasp, you might want to pick up a copy of the New York Magazine with 35 rape victims on the cover. The link to that issue is the second link in this thread, under my post.

George: the documentation you request is written history. Look up the names of the women who had the courage to come forward against Clinton. Go on, you can name some of them can't you?

Uff, there's one Clinton accuser. Uno. Juanita Broaddrich. Not 35 of them. Any male on the planet could have one accuser. Given Bubba's proclivity for strange, that's a really small number of negative dats points.

Data

>>there's one Clinton accuser. Uno. Juanita Broaddrich.<<

Try 25. With many others who have not yet stepped forward, just as Cosby's victims waited to step forward or didn't at all. Cosby is only an entertainer, not a powerful and vindictive former US President married to potentially the next US President.

Web Link ..... "Juanita isn't the only one: Bill Clinton's long history of sexual violence against women dates back some 30 years"

Web Link ..... Years' longtime line of events surrounding the serial rapist/sexual abuser Bill Clinton

The list of women that stepped forward and publicly complained about the former President are:

Juanita Broaddrick (AR)- rape

Eileen Wellstone (Oxford) - rape

Elizabeth Ward Gracen - rape - quid pro quo, post incident intimidation

Regina Hopper Blakely - "forced himself on her, biting, bruising her"

Kathleen Willey (WH) - sexual assault, intimidations, threats

Sandra Allen James (DC) - sexual assault

22 Year Old 1972 (Yale) - sexual assault

Kathy Bradshaw (AK) - sexual assault

Cristy Zercher - unwelcomed sexual advance, intimidations

Paula Jones (AR) - unwelcomed sexual advance, exposure, bordering on sexual assault

Carolyn Moffet -unwelcomed sexual advance, exposure, bordering on sexual assault

Etc......

Maybe putting some faces to the names, the women that have and are accusing the entertainer of the unforgivable crime of rape, might help keep us on topic: Web Link

You will note that not only are there images of the accusers, but a list of them and images of Camille, his wife, and his family. One can only wonder how she is dealing with all this ... and whether she knew or even had any idea of her famous husband's deviance and predatory actions against others.

The Hillary camp has worried, since Bill Cosby's despicable behavior has become front page news, that Bill Clinton's past would be paraded out again. It looks like it has.

Watch the wagons circle around the Rapist Trump:

Web Link

His lawyer consults with him, incorrectly, that spousal rape is legal (been illegal in most states since 1978 or so). Ivana walks-back her statement that she was raped, but that was undoubtedly so she can get her billion bucks and get away from the chump.

Ivana Trump never said she was raped or felt like she was raped by her ex. The whole story is based on a lie.

Way to go, "Coasters!"

Sorry Honeybee. Spinmeister it if you want, but by the accounts of lawyers and her closest confidants, Ivana repeatedly stated she was raped by The Donald. She walked it back publicly, but that's not unusual for rape victims, especially when they're paid-off by the likes of Trump.

Web Link

If Ivana Trump herself says there wasn't a rape there's not much reason to believe one occurred unless other witnesses come forward. I'm not saying it couldn't possibly have happened but there's no evidence.

It's in no way like the serial sex offenders Cosby and Clinton. There are people here who, unbelievably, would put Bill Clinton back in the White House while trying to hang Trump over nothing.

From Coasters' link:

"It’s important to note that this never went to court, Trump never faced any charges, and Ivana Trump herself walked back the allegations before the [1993] book in question was published:

"As a woman, I felt violated, as the love and tenderness, which he normally exhibited towards me, was absent. I referred to this as a 'rape,' but I do not want my words to be interpreted in a literal or criminal sense."

Read the book. He raped Ivana. She told several close friends and there is even a "blow by blow" account in the book regarding the rape. I would excerpt it, but it's disturbing and distasteful - it's a description of a rape.

What's more likely? That she lied about the rape initially, or told the truth and then walked it back? The latter, of course.

Trumps a rapist.

"Is Bill Cosby a Predatory Somnophiliac?", Web Link

Is Cosby a what? "Somnophilia is a clinically diagnosable fetish. A new motion filed by Cosby’s first accuser uses this word as a possible reason to why he allegedly drugged and raped women."

"Somnophilia is a clinically diagnosable fetish in which a person is sexually aroused by a partner who is asleep or unconscious. “It’s also known as the ‘Sleeping Beauty fetish,’” sex therapist and best-selling author Ian Kerner, PhD, who has treated somnophiliacs, tells Yahoo Health."

"Somnophilia is found in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), which is the standard classification of disorders used by mental health professionals in the U.S. The disorder is classified as a “predatory paraphilia.” (“Paraphilia” is the clinical term used for fetishes.)"

"Somnophilia is rare and, in order for a person to receive a clinical diagnosis, must be a persistent and distressful arousal experience that occurs for a minimum of six months, she adds. It can sometimes progress into necrophilia, a fetish in which a person is aroused by having sex with cadavers."

"One Less Empty Chair?", Web Link

This is why observing the powerful reach of New York magazine’s recent story “I’m No Longer Afraid”—shared 161,000 times as of this writing—was beyond inspiring. And the article itself? Well, it was nothing short of groundbreaking. In the magazine’s cover story, 35 of the 46 women who have accused Bill Cosby of sexually assaulting them sat down to recount their memories of what he allegedly did to them.

The women were photographed for the cover in black and white, lined up next to each other in chairs, with one empty chair symbolizing the survivors who have yet to come forward. Though the accusers range in age from their 20s to their 80s, the commonalities they share—most recall being drugged and assaulted in various ways by a trusted public figure they considered a mentor—are both horrifying and awe-inspiring. Witnessing so many women willing to risk public scorn to stand up against a man who had, as Hannibal Buress said last year, a “Teflon image,” feels beyond brave.

Imagine the courage it took for this to happen ...

^^^ Sorry Honeybee. Spinmeister it if you want, ^^^

Actually, it is "Coasters" that is deceiving. Your slimy methods aren't going to work this time.

Donald Trump did not "rape" Ivana. She never said it, and the slimy source you're quoting has proven themselves to be unreliable on such matters.

Not that you really care about politicians raping women, and you're ridiculous defense of Bill Clinton proves that.

Rolling Stone editor of fabricated campus rape story to step down: Web Link

Rolling Stone is the source of the phony Ivana Trump "rape" allegations.

The political class will have to keep digging. Maybe they can interview some of his classmates from pre-school and gin up something irrelevant but terrible about the guy. With a little help from the compliant MSM, of course.

Seems it is very difficult for some to comprehend the word topic. One would think the thread title would be a dead give-away. This particular thread topic is about Cosby, a wealthy entertainer, who over a span of 50 years has been accused of well over 40 drug rapes. Leave it to francis and uff to choose their own sub-topics consistently.

I find it fascinating, however, that francis is so knowledgable in so many areas. He sure speaks with such authority about the thoughts and actions of others. For example: "Donald Trump did not "rape" Ivana." The Only way anyone could possibly make such a statement is if they were present at the time of the incident. Little did we know the vast circles of influence francis commands. Unless the action claimed took place in a public place, how would anyone, other than the two arguing the point, know anything about it? Maybe we can get francis to read our palms, too.

francis even goes as far as to say, "She never said it..." Maybe the following might jar francis' recollection;

"The Sad Truth About Marital Rape", Web Link "On Monday evening, the Daily Beast reported that mogul and GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump allegedly raped his former wife, Ivana Trump."

"Ivana Trump’s claim from 1989 — which she later dismissed — came in a deposition that was part of their divorce case in the early ’90s, and was detailed in the 1993 book Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump, by reporter Harry Hurt III. The deposition detailed that she had been raped by her husband while he was in a fit of rage after a painful surgical procedure to reduce the appearance of his baldness — by a plastic surgeon that she recommended."

"When asked for comment on this incident by the Daily Beast, and after vehemently disputing the claim and threatening the reporter, the special counsel at the Trump Organization, Michael Cohen, said, “And, of course, understand that by the very definition, you can’t rape your spouse. It is true. You cannot rape your spouse. And there’s very clear case law.”

Fact is, Mr Cohen is wrong; but he is in good company because so is francis, our very own jet-setter that just knows everything about everyone - what they think, what they do, what they say...probably how many times they go to the bathroom on a daily basis. I'm surprised law enforcement doesn't use francis to solve all crimes. What a resource.

Marital rape is rape, just as somnophilia is rape.

Not that you really care about politicians raping women

Obviously, I do, which is why I called-out The Rapist Trump.

Web Link ..... She said back in 1993 it wasn't a rape and she says it again now:

“The story is totally without merit,” she said in a statement Tuesday. "Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised three children that we love and are very proud of. I have nothing but fondness for Donald and wish him the best of luck on his campaign. Incidentally, I think he would make an incredible president.”

As long as uff is going to continue to stray from topic (again, Cosby accused of over 40 drug rapes), it might help uff if she were to actually read posts that she speaks to; (again, from above): "Ivana Trump’s claim from 1989 — which she later dismissed — came in a deposition that was part of their divorce case in the early ’90s, and was detailed in the 1993 book Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump, by reporter Harry Hurt III. The deposition detailed that she had been raped by her husband while he was in a fit of rage after a painful surgical procedure to reduce the appearance of his baldness — by a plastic surgeon that she recommended."

One might see the word "deposition" in the mix, along with her later dismissal of her allegation. I could be wrong, but isn't the purpose of a deposition to get the truth in a matter? Isn't a deposition performed under oath?

So that then leads us to two possible scenarios: 1) Ivana lied then, or 2) Ivana is lying now. Neither choice favors Ivana, nor The Donald.

But then that's why we are so fortunate to have francis. I'm sure he'll straighten all this out for us.

^^^ But then that's why we are so fortunate to have francis. I'm sure he'll straighten all this out for us. ^^^

I saw Harry Hurt III interviewed by Megyn Kelly last night. He doesn't like the Donald and seems to have an axe to grind. He described the plastic surgery incident differently that George. He never claimed that Ivana accused him of rape during divorce proceedings or anywhere else.

It doesn't matter what political hacks like George and "Coasters" say. The smear tactics they parrot from far Left websites won't work. The Donald is going to be heard whether they like it or not.

Perhaps you have misunderstood part of my postings. I am glad to see Trump in the Presidential mix. His antics are one of a kind. His marketing skills are on full display for all to see. And the best part is that issues and subsets of those issues are pushed front and center, taking most candidates out of their "comfort zone", which is both interesting and fun. Go ahead with your bad self, Donald.

But to deny or ignore sworn deposition statements is wrong, on any level. So once again, we are left with either Ivana lied then or she is lying now.

Seems to me that she benefits either way; but lying is lying. But of course you know all about that, don't you francis?

Btw, I didn't describe anything resembling plastic surgery. That is just one more figment of your very vivid imagination, as anyone that actually reads and comprehends my comments can see.

What I did do is quote part of a published piece on this matter from this: Web Link I am posting this piece once again in this thread because apparently someone missed it the first time.

Good old francis, still trying to put words in the mouths of others. Shame on you francis. According to that piece, and resulting quote used, Ivana stated in a deposition that the Donald had raped her. Depositions are taken under oath; hence the lying then or now choice for Ivana.

That you found the time and interest to watch TV is like most of what you post, irrelevant. That Hurt didn't claim or did claim anything just doesn't matter, now does it. Once again I would direct your attention (if you have that capability) to Ivana's deposition from 1989.

It doesn't matter what political hacks like George and "Coasters" say.

On TA, it doesn't really matter what any of us say about these issues with which we are not involved. It's all opinion. The difference between me and you, other than that I'm much more humble, smarter and better looking than you are, FD, is that you think it DOES matter what you post here about this stuff.

^^^ Perhaps you have misunderstood part of my postings. ^^^

Perhaps your posts are too long, too tedious and too many.

And I do understand one part. You insist that Ivana Trump claimed she was raped by the Donald. She did not make that assertion -- that was the spin applied by the first lame attempt to smear him. And you have no way of knowing what she claimed during divorce proceedings.

There's plenty of stuff that The Donald says and does that is worthy of discussion. But "raping" his wife, saying all Mexicans are "rapists" or saying McCain "isn't a war hero" didn't happen and aren't worthy of discussion, unless the topic is MSM memes that are untrue.

^^^ that you think it DOES matter what you post here ^^^

When you have the courage to use your real name, it does matter what you post. Not so much when you cower behind an anonymous name.

When you have the courage to use your real name, it does matter what you post. Not so much when you cower behind an anonymous name.

You use your real name and it still doesn't matter what you say.

To wit: Trump is on video tape making those slurs about both Mexicans and McCain and there was a legal deposition within which Ivana stated Donald raped her. If there were not, then the author who wrote about that deposition would have been successfully sued for libel. he was not.

And it's not like The Donald has any compunctions about suing people:

Web Link

Hate to break it to you Coasters but people lie in depositions all the time. Ivana was going for a divorce and big money so she might have had a reason to trump up her story.

And then when there was no motive, no gain to be had 20 years ago and now, she says both times it was not rape in the legal definition, ie the definition you're using.

"Coasters" has no way of knowing what was said during the deposition. Nor does Harry Hurt III.

Amazing how purulent left-wingers are so anxious to smear anyone that threatens their fragile ideology.

^^^ I hate to break it to you Uff, but your boy's a rapist. ^^^

That's rich coming from someone that insists Bill Clinton didn't rape Juanita Broderick because he wasn't convicted of the crime.

Slight correction: "Juanita Broaddrick is an American former nursing home administrator from Arkansas. She alleged in 1998 that United States President Bill Clinton had raped her two decades earlier."

Which would mean that - "That's rich coming from someone that insists Bill Clinton didn't rape Juanita Broderick because he wasn't convicted of the crime" is just another deliberate misstatement by one francis drouillard (nothing new, happens everyday).

When one considers that it is impossible to be "convicted of [a] crime" when never even charged with that crime, one can sum up the total knowledge and proclivities of the person making that deliberately false claim.

A person just can't leave francis alone for a second. His understanding of reality and what he believes is is constantly wrong. Facts, in any matter, just seem to have no place in his thought process.

Bill Clinton's disgraceful sexual history goes back to his days at Oxford.

One can only wonder why it is so hard for some to grasp the topic, then stay on it - as defined by the title and initial posting; "Rape: Bill Cosby's Entire Life's Contributions Gone".

There are (obviously) a few that will politicize anything and everything. Unfortunately the victims of Cosby's 50 year pilgrimage likely don't give a hoot about political stories, leanings or discussion when it comes to being drugged and violated by one of America's entertainment kings over the decades.

It is reasonable to think and state that none of those trivializing Cosby's victims here, by politicizing this story have ever had a one on one with Cosby.

Problem is, some 46 women have and there's a seat open for others.

I think that brings the total to 51 now ... and it may not be done yet.

Again, I feel for his wife. I don't know if she had a clue. It'd be hard to believe that she never suspected anything, but 51 women?!?

And you're right, uff; perhaps my word selection could have been a bit better above. :)

"ELKINS PARK, Pa. (AP) — The latest on the announcement of a criminal charge against Bill Cosby in Pennsylvania (all times local):

3:10 p.m.

Bill Cosby has been released on $1 million bail on a sex assault charge in Pennsylvania.

Cosby was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Elkins Park on the charge, which was filed over a 2004 encounter in his home outside Philadelphia.

Police say he was fingerprinted and photographed before being released. His next court hearing is Jan. 14.

Cosby is charged with drugging and sexually assaulting the woman. It's the first criminal case brought against the comedian out of the torrent of allegations that destroyed his good-guy image as America's Dad.

Cosby shook his head as reporters shouted questions at him before the hearing. His lawyers also didn't comment."

Oh, Bill, ...

It is hard to fathom this entire story, but with the arrest, fingerprinting and mug shot now in the rear-view, more 'news' is coming.

Among that news is a "timeline". It has been my experience that looking at a timeline of something can be helpful. In this case, it just makes it even harder to grasp, but it is what it is.

"Bill Cosby: A Timeline of Sexual Assault Allegations", Web Link

That is one extremely long timeline covering, in actual time, a very short period - starting in October 2014 and culminating in today's arrest, perp walk, booking and $1,000,000 bail along with the forfeiture of his passport.

I honestly would have never imagined, let alone believed that "Coz" could/would do something like this - but the preponderance of victims and evidence is there for all to see, believe it or not.

Again, I feel for his wife, but find it hard to believe that she had no idea. It is my understanding that today's charge placed the events in question in Cosby's house!

Very hard to understand and accept, and I can't even begin to grasp how difficult it must have been for each of the over 50 women victimized to come forward, especially with the fame and wealth of the person they were accusing.

A very sad day for us all. How could you, Coz?

And now what? He faces the possibility of going to prison for, at his age, the rest of his days. Just a bunch of tragedies all wrapped in one.

"Cosby Accuser Slimed For Spending Settlement Money On An Apartment", Web Link

"The New York Post has some shocking news: a woman who accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault used money from a previous settlement with him to buy an apartment."

"The Post’s reporting implies that something is amiss about an alleged victim using a settlement to buy a nice place to live. But what Constand decided to do with her money has no bearing on anything of importance. While the details of the settlement are not public, many settlements come after plaintiffs seek monetary damages for alleged injury caused by the defendant. Money is often paid out to avoid the costs of going into litigation and after the defendant agrees with some or all of the claims. In this case, Cosby had already offered an apology and money to Constand and her family over the incident before the case. Any settlement money, meant to make up for the injury caused, is free to be used however plaintiffs choose."

We've seen this before. In fact, we are very fortunate here on the coast to get a daily dose of this behavior - attacking the messenger because the facts don't line up in the accuser's favor. Personal attacks, misdirection, name calling - It is truly sad for those that just can't seem to handle the facts.

Which leads me to ask: francis, do you 'work' PT for the NY Post (under anon moniker, of course)?

"9 questions about Bill Cosby you were too embarrassed to ask", Web Link

"In 1984, an aspiring 17-year-old actress named Barbara Bowman auditioned for a role with one of the country's biggest names in comedy: Bill Cosby."

"Not long after arriving, Bowman was invited to meet with Cosby at his home — seemingly a major break. Cosby offered her a glass of wine. But after drinking it, she later said, she blacked out. When she woke up, she was wearing only her underpants and a man's T-shirt."

"Cosby maintained contact with Bowman, paying, along with her agent, for her rent and other expenses — which, Bowman has said, left her financially isolated and dependent on Cosby, who allegedly used it as leverage to meet with and assault her other times over the next two years."

"Then in 1986, Cosby flew her down to Atlantic City, where he was performing. During a conversation in his hotel room, Bowman says, Cosby grew angry and pinned her to the ground, holding his forearm to her neck. As she screamed and struggled against him, Cosby tried, but failed, to undo his pants. Frustrated, he called her a "baby" and threw her out, and promptly cut off the money he'd been providing, including for her home."

"Though she did not know it at the time, Bowman does not appear to have been alone in this experience. Nearly 60 women have, like her, since come forward."

"Nearly 60 women ..." Unbelievable. And these are only the ones we 'know about'. Camille, Cosby's wife, continues to 'stand by her man'. Again, unbelievable.

Denial comes in all shapes and sizes.
