HMB Wrestling Team Makes History at CCS

The Half Moon Bay High School Wrestling Team did what no other HMB Team could do before and that was to bring home a CENTRAL COAST SECTION WRESTLING TROPHY!

Leading this Team was 222 lbs Marcos Sarabia by placing 2nd. He advances to the CIF State next weekend. This is Marcos 3rd straight year as a CCS medalist.

122 lbs Emilio Bautista captured 3rd place over a tough El Camino wrestler who beat him last week at the PAL Finals. Emilio advances to the CIF State Championships.

115 lbs EdRey Casamina placed 3rd. He was a JV Champ last year. Worked is tail off to get to the next level and make it to the CIF State Championship.

132 lbs Will Fullerton placed 6th. He was an alternate by placing 4th last week at PAL Finals. He didn't know he got into the tournament until right before it started. He lost his first match to the eventual Champion then reeled of 5 straight wins to place.

128 lbs Evan Marschall went 4-2 and finished top 8.

138 lbs. Khalil Droubi went 4-2 and finished top 8.

172 lbs Jim Alves went 3-2 and finished top 12.

Hugo Plancarte, 2-2, Ricky Camacho and David Corona had wins that helped the team.

That's fantastic. My congratulations to you and the HMBHS wrestlers.
